Celebrating Baby Girl’s 1/2 Birthday

I have reached an important milestone in my motherhood journey, Baby girl turns 6 months and we’re halfway through a year that has transformed my life forever. Celebrating this milestone alongside close family was such a sweet moment for me because this was the first time I hosted and started to feel more like myself. I’ve hit so many mini and mega milestones too like 6 months of breastfeeding, 3 months since returning to work and pumping every 3-4 hours at work (skipping lunch walks with friends for dates alone in the lactation room), and 6 months sharing beautiful memories with my husband and daughter.

For Baby girl’s 1/2 birthday, I was inspired by all the beautiful flowers blossoming around me and we chose a spring theme birthday party. The only thing that I did plan in advance was securing my order from Elisa’s Sweet Surprise, a local baker from Southern California located in the city of Pomona. I shared some images of possible directions I wanted for Baby Girl’s cake and oh man she delivered!

1/2 Birthday Inspirations

My goal was to have a mini photoshoot with her and the cake but (1) Baby wasn’t too into cake just yet and (2) she started teething and to be honest I almost cancelled the whole thing because we were on 2-4 hours of sleep that day. The night before baby girl was crying so much, in so much pain from teething. Seeing her suffer has been so difficult but we mustered any parent strength we had and we followed through with the plan.
