Dog-mom Life: Introducing the Fur Babies
Hi CM fam! I can’t go another day without introducing my two furry joys. Meet the two star pups of the CM fam household, Bravo and Xoco (pronounced S-oh-Co)!
Bravo and Xoco are both rescues that bring a plenty of joy and adventure to our household.
Both happen to be March babies that we rescued while living in Maryland. Bravo is an 8 year old American Bulldog and Pitbull mix while Xoco is 4 years old and we think she is a purebred Pitbull. Both of our dogs are such loving sweethearts who can’t get enough attention and having guests over. We currently live in an apartment and they don’t mind the apartment life these days. I love the pitbull breed for so many reasons, however, one trait that is a great fit for our family is how active they can be and, if you need to relax one day, they are also happy with a casual walk or two around the neighborhood.

We like for many of our adventures to resolve around our pups when possible, however, as Bravo gets older we’ve had to be more strategic about what hikes we can and cannot take him on. *tear* I can’t believe we’ve had him 8 years already! As a result, Xoco is generally my running buddy while Bravo has to stay home waiting for the cool-down walk.

Not gonna lie, having two dogs is a big responsibility and time commitment. Something for future dog owners to really keep in mind as you look for a rescue. They were such a big investment but worthwhile addition to our family! Each day we invest in creating structure, training, and activity to keep them engaged. Like so many people, they’ve kept me going during this whole pandemic and provide so much love and positive energy during these hard times.
They are a big part of my everyday life and felt the need to share a piece of my heart to introduce you all. If you have any questions about what it is like to own two large dogs or my pitties in general, comment any of your questions down below!
