Home Away from Home: Visiting East Coast Family

Since moving from the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) area summer of 2020, we haven’t spent too much time vacationing and enjoying some of our favorite, or new, places back on the east coast. This trip back to the DMV area was really sweet because we got to spend some quality time with baby girl’s grandparents on the east coast. Moreover, it was our first time exploring our old neighborhood with a very active toddler. After landing from Italy, we spent most of our time with family, celebrating birthdays, and eating more seafood and exploring new coffee shops.
DMV Highlights
Most of our time in the DMV was spent with our immediate family, however, we managed to schedule a few trips with our toddler and sneak in a couple of dates with my husband- just the two of us. Some highlights include visiting Assateague Island National Park, Children’s Museum in Washington DC, Aquarium of Baltimore, and Rock Creek Park and Nature Center- which had really great toddler programs while we were visiting 🙂
